Business quest from the UK to Design Indaba

South Africa's premier design showcase, Design Indaba 8, is attracting strong international delegate support, with a group of 10 creative companies from the UK's north west region making up a delegation to create new business relationships, joint ventures and partnerships with South African creatives at the Indaba taking place, 23 - 25 February 2005 in Cape Town.

The companies - from Manchester, Preston and Bolton - include Dinosaur Design and Advertising, which ran the Manchester campaign for the International Cow Parade; Stuart Clarke, a photography designer and publisher famous for his soccer related collection and international exhibition; The Art Surgery, a gallery based in Manchester looking to source new product and manufacturing; and Visual Approval, a design agency eager to launch its innovative 'Collaborative Workflow' online solution in South Africa.

The group are being brought to the Indaba by Business Quest South Africa, the brainchild of Richard Holt, Managing Director of the Qualia Group, www.qualiagroup.com, a UK company that creates inspirational experiences and environments for entrepreneurs around the world to connect, exchange knowledge, innovate and create new business opportunities.

Qualia have just opened their first international offices in Cape Town and Holt explains: "Our Business Quests are mission-critical 'scouting' trips - low-risk, high-possibility environments where participants meet dynamic businesses like themselves, see 'best practice' and innovation at work and explore real opportunities for new business. Design Indaba is a fantastic showcase of the creative talent that exists in South Africa and an unmissable opportunity for UK companies to be inspired, learn and re-connect with their own creativity and most importantly to meet potential new partners, customers and suppliers."
