    Key purpose of role

    The Media Intelligence Specialist is responsible for executing data-led tasks that support media planning, campaign performance tracking, and post-campaign analysis. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of data used to inform strategic decisions and optimise media investment. By running data reports, interpreting results, and providing actionable insights, the specialist plays a critical role in campaign effectiveness and evidence-based media planning across platforms.

    Key performance areas

    Data management and report generation:
    • Accurate data runs from audience measurement systems (e.g., RAMS, FootPrints, Google Analytics, social media platforms, etc.)
    • Automated and manual reports tailored to campaign needs
    • Cleaned, validated datasets ready for analysis
    Media planning:
    • Platform selection rationale and audience mapping
    • Data-informed media plans (radio schedules, digital placements, etc.)
    • Competitive benchmarking and reach-frequency modelling
    Post campaign Analysis:
    • End-of-campaign reports with clear KPIs, performance summaries, and learnings
    • Visual dashboards with campaign outcomes across radio and digital
    • Recommendations for optimisation and future planning
    • Use of tools: Telmar, Google Analytics, Ad Dynamix.
    Insight interpretation and presentation:
    • Summary insights and strategic takeaways from data
    • Commentary in reports that links performance to business impact
    • Support in preparing slides or charts for client-facing presentations
    Cross functional collaboration:
    • Timely responses to insight requests and planning needs
    • Regular updates to internal stakeholders on data trends
    • Participation in campaign briefings and feedback sessions


    Minimum required qualification:
    • Bachelor’s degree in media (masters or honours advantageous), higher diploma in media
    Qualifications considered advantageous:
    • Short courses/certificates in below would be advantageous
    • Digital communication and media
    • Brand management
    Minimum years of experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant field

    Additional role requirements:
    • Willingness to travel occasionally in support of research projects, team engagements, or industry events.
    • Sound understanding of market research methodologies, media measurement frameworks, and data analysis principles.
    • Practical experience in both digital and traditional media platforms with the ability to interpret cross-platform performance.
    • Familiarity with business operations, workflows, and how data informs commercial decisions.
    • Media planning and analysis tools:
    • Telmar suite: Proficient in SurveyTime (including cross-tab functionality), RBP; knowledge of Transmit is advantageous.
    • Nielsen tools: Arianna Radio PCA, WizzAd.
    • Digital insight tools: Google Trends, SimilarWeb, HootSuite, Google Analytics (advantageous).
    • Survey platforms: Experience using SurveyMonkey or equivalent survey tools to gather and interpret audience feedback.
    • Microsoft office suite: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
    • Analytical precision: High attention to detail with the ability to validate data and surface meaningful patterns.
    • Time management: Deadline-driven and able to manage multiple data tasks or deliverables simultaneously.
    • Self-Leadership: Self-managed and proactive, demonstrating ownership of deliverables and continuous improvement.
    • Resilience and pressure handling: Able to perform under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and remain composed in fast-paced environments.
    • Collaboration and communication: Strong interpersonal skills; a team player who shares insights clearly and diplomatically—even in high-stakes or crisis scenarios.
    • Professional integrity: Embodies and promotes the values of Primedia Broadcasting (PMB), including accountability, people-centricity, and excellence in execution.
