We are looking for an energetic, dynamic, and confident social media manager with a minimum of five years of experience in a social media role. The social media manager is responsible for the smooth running of our clients' accounts—strategically, operationally, creatively, and financially.
Main responsibilities
Strategy
- Serve as a social media strategic advisor to account leads and clients.
- Develop unique strategies and build upon current client strategies to meet or exceed objectives.
- Conduct detailed evaluations of clients’ business environments, including customer needs, capabilities, and competitive realities, to identify market opportunities and threats.
- Lead the development of insight-driven strategies, from opportunity identification to experience definition.
- Stay up to date with clients' social marketing and media plans, providing technological solutions, including rich media, promotional ideas, mobile, social networks, and viral campaigns.
Ad management
- Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities, including scheduling, running, and optimising paid ad campaigns with targeted audiences.
- Oversee social media presence across platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and relevant blogs.
Content and community management
- Oversee and develop the overall design of social media platforms, landing pages, and content marketing materials.
- Act as a brand advocate in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions.
- Conceptualise, edit, and write content, including articles, features, ad copy, and editorial pieces.
- Drive online advocacy, community outreach, and engagement initiatives, including competitions.
- Grow blog subscribers and expand the blog’s overall reach.
Analytics and reporting
- Monitor key benchmarks to measure the impact of social media programs.
- Analyse and report on campaign effectiveness to maximise results.
- Measure return on investment (ROI) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for client accounts, compiling monthly reports.
- Translate qualitative data into actionable recommendations for campaign improvements.
Pitching
- Prepare and present strategic pitches and presentations.
- Collaborate with management on RFPs, tenders, meetings, and presentations.
Requirements
- Relevant diploma or degree in communications.
- Minimum five years of experience managing social media accounts and programs in a mid-senior role.
- Experience using online reputation management (ORM) tools and third-party social media monitoring tools.
- Highly tech-savvy with strong web and interactive knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Meta Business Manager and familiar with Facebook and Instagram environments.
- Certifications in Facebook Blueprint, Google Digital Marketing, or HubSpot are advantageous.
