The Senior Front-End Developer will work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver performant, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces. This individual will play a key role in shaping the architecture and quality standards of front-end solutions, ensuring an exceptional user experience across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex front-end applications using React and Angular
- Work within and enhance a custom front office solution, ensuring usability, performance, and scalability
- Translate UI/UX designs and business requirements into high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and services
- Maintain clean and efficient version control workflows using Git (branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews)
- Identify and resolve performance, accessibility, and security issues
- Participate actively in sprint planning, estimations, and technical discussions
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Strong expertise in React
- Strong expertise in Angular
- Solid experience working with Git-based version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- Proven experience working within a custom front office or internal business platform
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with responsive design principles and modern CSS frameworks
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skill
Beneficial Skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques
- Exposure to design systems or component libraries
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
The Reference Number for this position is PM61099 which is a Permanent Hybrid position based in Centurion offering a cost to company of up to R720k Per Annum negotiable on experience and ability.
