      Used Gear and Rentals Assistant

      Location:Cape Town
      Type:Permanent

      Job title: Used gear and rentals assistant

      Based at: ORMS Central Cape Town

      Responsible for:
      • Receiving and dispatching rental items
      • Packing and cleaning of all rental gear
      • Creating rental bookings and quotes
      • Booking equipment in for repairs/service
      • Advising clients on gear suitability and availability.
      • Firmware updates
      • Ensuring payments are done and correctly allocated
      • Helping out with all Used gear-related duties. i.e. (packing display shelf, organising purchased items, Removing items from website)
      • Keeping up to date with the latest gear and specification.
      • Attending training sessions by suppliers.
      Minimum educational qualification required:
      • Grade 12
      Inherent/specific requirements to do the job:
      • Fully computer literate
      • Technical background on camera equipment (advantageous)
      • Exceptional attention to detail
      • Work well in a team
      • Thrive in a high-stakes high pace environment.
      Summary of job description:

      You would be the main point of contact for clients through email and in store and as such have the responsibility to create lasting relationships with trust at its core. Clients will rely on you to guide them on their requirements for gear and advise while making sure renting gear is the last thing they need to worry about before their shoot. You would create a seamless and friendly experience from booking to return with the best service imaginable by taking initiative and going beyond what is expected. You would have the opportunity to meet countless like-minded individuals in the photographic industry and forming part of their journey.
