    Job description

    A large and busy surgical Clinic seeks to appoint a Senior Medical Practice Administrator with a minimum of 5 years continuous experience in a similar role within a busy medical Practice. Previous experience with managing busy theatre lists, pathology and multiple diaries is essential.

    Responsibilities
    • Manage busy reception desk and telephone.
    • Daily administrative tasks and duties as required by doctor.
    • Manage a very busy and diverse appointment booking system.
    • Typing of medical reports
    • Co-ordinate all theatre bookings and support medical professionals.
    • Creating and updating patient files.
    • Extensive liaison with pathology, X-Ray and other service providers.
    • Working hours of clinic 7.00 – 16.00

    Requirements:
    • Minimum of 5 years continuous medical practice experience in a similar role (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT).
    • Strong Ms Office experience.
    • Experience on Eminance – Healthfocus will be advantageous.
    • Strong medical report typing skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication in Afrikaans and English (non-negotiable).
    • Ability to work under pressure as this is a very busy clinic.
