- Riaan Barnard (previously from Intelligence Magazine) joined Weg on 1 May 2005 as advertising sales representative in its Sandton office.
- Barnie Louw (previously news editor at Die Burger) was appointed on 1 June as editor: supplements at Weg.
- Esma le Roux (previously from Die Burger) was appointed on 1 June 2005 as sub editor at Weg.
- Deidre Nortje (previously from Media24 Corporate Communication) was appointed on 1 June 2005 as layout artist at Weg.
