YETI creates empowerment for youth
The Old Shanghai Firecracker Factory has devised a brand new, innovative programme to benefit the Vega Community Imagination Labs, established to speed up transformation in the communications sector.
Old Shanghai has set up a trust: the Youth Education and Training Initiative (YETI). Financed by a percentage of the agency's turnover, it enables skills transfer within Shanghai's structure where students are given practical experience and hands-on knowledge as interns.
Hoping that clients and agencies alike will recognise the value of YETI and seize the opportunity to train and empower our talented youth, Shanghai would like to introduce the six learners who will intern at the agency this year -
Learners from the Community Imagination Lab in Alexandra:
Thembi Mogala - client service learnership
Lungile Mlotshwa - creative learnership
Lolo Mnguni - creative learnership
Nokhuthula Hadebe - production learnership
Hyde Duvhula - media learnership
Intern from Seta:
Graeme Mogadime -client service learnership
