Redi Direko joins 702

Top journalist and former television personality, Redi Direko, has joined Talk Radio 702 as a senior member of the 702 Eyewitness News team.

Direko (27) is the former presenter and producer of SABC 3's current affairs show, Interface. She was also one of the main anchors during last year's general election. She has worked at SABC Africa, Kaya FM and Network Radio News and was appointed communications director in the Office of the Premier of the Western Cape in June last year.

Direko studied at the former Rand Afrikaans University, where she obtained a BA Communications degree. She also holds an honours degree in Social Sciences and is currently studying towards an honours in English Literature. Part-time, she is learning French through Alliance Francaise.
