The Eagle has landed
The Jupiter Drawing Room, Cape Town, has captured the ever-elusive Black Eagle Award for their Design Indaba print ad entitled "Bell Centennial". The ad traces the journey of designer Matthew Carter's search to create a typeface that maximises space, is still aesthetically appealing and most importantly is a friend of the environment, thereby making him the 'unofficial patron of trees'. Two judges, both of whom are world-renowned creatives from international agencies, critique entries into the Eagle Print Awards, South Africa's print advertising competition.
