More Recruitment Woes
Am I right in assuming that Recruiters charging candidates money to keep their CVs on a database is illegal?
In yesterday's Star (17-02-2003) I saw an advertisement from Golden Era Placements looking for Graphic Designers in Midrand and Sandton.
Upon phoning the above agency, I was told that there will be a R180-00 charge to log my CV on their database!
So when I told them that it was illegal, I got a long silence and then a "thank you"!
I thought this practice was erradicated with CyberNET a couple of years ago (they were an agency charging candidates to post CVs on their website for one year).
Am I right or are GEP right?
