IQ4News launches new features

IQ4News, the reference online journal with a focus on investigative and incisive analysis of African issues, launched three years ago by Dr Yemisi Akinbobola, the founder and editor-in-chief, has introduced an interactive platform as well as a mobile version.

Join in on the discussion

The website's new 'IQ4News Specials' page is an interactive space featuring key insights on issues of our time - from the recent military coup in Mali, to the controversial 'Kony: 2012' viral video and the debates around it, and Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's candidacy for the World Bank Presidency.

In addition to these efforts to set a high standard for Africa's growing online news-sphere, IQ4News has launched iThink', an innovative discussion platform that offers users the opportunity to create and contribute to relevant discussions on issues that are most important to them.

"There are many news websites for Africa that deserve a lot of praise because they deliver important services by telling the African story to the world" said Dr Akinbobola.

Available in all its twelve subject areas, from iThink Business to iThink Sport, users stay connected through IQ4News' innovative amalgamation of existing social media tools which means that whether users are on platforms like Facebook and Yahoo, they can join in the conversation.

Going mobile

By launching a mobile version, IQ4News has ensuring that it will reach out to key audiences that are often left out other Africa focussed online news organisations. The mobile version (m.iq4news.com) allows for easier internet access to IQ4News content via their mobile phones.

"It's the strategy behind planning and use of iThink that makes it unique, not necessarily the idea of a discussion network itself", said Dario Faniglione, developer and digital strategist at IQ4News.
