Job description
STADIO (Pty) Ltd is inviting applications for the position of: Lecturer - School of Administration and ManagementModules; Business Communication, Business Studies, Management, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Logistics Management and Marketing Management
Assumption date: 01 January 2027
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Lecture modules in the following subject areas: business communication, business studies, management, entrepreneurship, project management, logistics management and marketing management.
- Use the learning management system (LMS) effectively.
- Mark and moderate assessments and examination papers in accordance with academic policies.
- Perform academic administration and other delegated duties.
- Provide academic support to students and promote student success.
- Participate in research, scholarly activity and ongoing professional development.
- A minimum of two years' lecturing experience in higher education in management, business studies, entrepreneurship, project management, logistics, marketing or closely related modules.
- Relevant professional experience in a business or management role involving planning, coordination and operational or commercial decision-making.
- Practical exposure to at least two of the following areas: project management, logistics or supply chain, marketing, entrepreneurship, operations or general management.
- Sound knowledge of foundational management principles, business communication, entrepreneurship and the functional areas of business.
- Experience in curriculum delivery, assessment, moderation and academic administration.
- Good knowledge of an LMS, such as Canvas, as an online teaching and learning tool.
- Evidence of, or potential for, research and scholarly activity.
Qualification:
- A minimum of an honours degree at NQF level 8 in Management, Business Management, Business Administration or a closely related field.
- The qualification must include sufficient academic grounding in general management and at least two of the following: entrepreneurship, project management, logistics or supply chain management, and marketing.
- A relevant master's degree will be advantageous.
- A recognised professional certification or membership in project management, supply chain or logistics, marketing, entrepreneurship or management will be advantageous (for example PMP or PRINCE2, SAPICS or CIPS, or a relevant marketing-body designation).
- Ability to teach across multiple foundational management disciplines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective presentation and facilitation skills.
- Strong computer literacy and e-learning capability.
- Sound planning, organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A student-centred approach to teaching and academic support.
- Willingness to work after hours when required.
- Willingness to work across different modes of teaching and learning
