Taxi Ranks to get TV
According to CEO Alan Prentice, Comutanet is planning to erect 12 square metre TV screens, with audio capacity, at major taxi ranks across the nation. An agreement with the SABC will allow them to broadcast news bulletins and sport. Transmission will be by satelite, and will allow for commercials to be targeted to the catchment area of the rank.
