The website for the Cricket World Cup, www.cricketworldcup.com, had to go down Monday morning shortly after going on-line due to a flood of cricket fans hoping to beat the rush and get tickets via the Web. Says Josh Charley, CWC media liaison officer: "When we went on-line this morning, there was such an influx of both international and local users that it simply crashed the system. There is no reason to beat around the bush, we have had a problem but it is being sorted out and we will be back on-line shortly." The CWC has apportioned a large amount of tickets to the World Cup to be available for purchase only on the Web.
