Sandton Square Elitist?
Great initiative. But Sandton Square? Surely a less opulent venue would be better to showcase the ad trade's finest to the previously disadvantaged? It's important that the priveleged elite of South Africa get to see top line creative but isn't that just reinforcing the established norm in SA - only those from wealthy backgrounds can afford the level of training required to get into the industry and the starvation wages most creatives have to endure during their 3 - 5 year apprenticeship in a typical hot shop.
