The airline won the 2014 Best Airline International Service, one of the highest honours that can be given to an international airline in South Africa.

Donald Thio, Station Manager, Singapore Airlines, Johannesburg says this is the most prestigious award that ACSA can bestow to stakeholders, agencies and airlines at OR Tambo International Airport.

Singapore Airlines also won the same award for its Johannesburg route in 2008, while its Cape Town route won the same accolade in 2012 and 2013.

The selection criteria is collated in two ways. The first is subjective, via interviews with passengers and customers based on their experiences and perceptions. The second is a quantitative review, which is informed by a Quality Management System that Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) implements across all its airports.

"We are very pleased to have won this title. Singapore Airlines is dedicated to providing a superior service to all of its customers. This award is recognition of our efforts and passion to truly provide a memorable and enjoyable experience to all who fly with us," said Thio.
