Sony Pictures Television appoints vice president of distribution for Africa

Based in London, Munnich will be responsible for managing and growing all SPT distribution activity across Africa, UK and Ireland. She will report to Stuart Baxter, senior executive vice president of distribution for EMEA.

Munnich previously served as vice president of distribution for Australia and New Zealand for SPT and will be replaced by Mark Young in this position. She also served four years as SPT's executive director of distribution for Australia and New Zealand and prior to that was sales director.

In the new role, Munnich will lead all film and television licensing negotiations for Sony Pictures Television with broadcasters and digital platforms in these territories. She will also work closely with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for Online, VOD propositions and drive the burgeoning SVOD market.
