The eight contestants will be competing for a cash prize of R 250,000. The contestants will learn about different elements of trading which include risk analysis, technical analysis and more. The competition is all about trading shares on the JSE Top 100, and the contestants will each have to manage a R1,000,000 virtual portfolio.
Contestants range in age from 19 to 41. They are: Mbuso Mehlomakulu; Tsholofelo Mojakgotle; Jason Goldstein; Johannes Malan; Xolile Mnisi; Ori Shushan; Colbert Chipotereke; Pule Moabi.
In the first episode, the contestants and viewers will be introduced to two high profile industry experts who will be mentoring the contestants throughout the competition. They are: Gerhard Lampen, Head of Sanlam iTrade and Ian Cruickshanks, independent markets analyst. Guest mentors who will join them later in the series are Nerina Visser, head of Beta Solutions at Nedbank Capital, David Shapiro of Sasfin, and Warrick Selzer of Wealth Skills.
