IPS Africa launches new website

Inter Press Service (IPS) Africa has launched its new multimedia website to present the story of Africa's development. The website launch in Africa coincided with the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, commemorated on 17 October 2010.

The theme for 2010 International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, 'Working together out of poverty', aims to highlight the need for a truly global anti-poverty alliance, one in which both developed and developing countries participate actively.

IPS Africa, through reporting on economic, environmental and social issues, considers its journalism to make a vital direct contribution to achieving sustainability.
