Museke Online Africa Music Awards launched
Museke.com, an online portal for information on African music, has announced the launch of the annual Museke Online Music Awards (MOAMA's). Nominees have been announced and voting will take place until 15 May 2010, with winners being announced on 1 June.
The awards has received a total of 130 nominations in 28 categories which will cover different genres and regions. The winners of the online awards will be rewarded through online promotion on Museke.com as well as various other media outlets.
Museke.com started out in 2006 and features lyrics, interviews, biographies, new music and videos of multitudes of African artists from the continent and the diaspora. Through the annual MOAMA's, Museke aims to encourage the unity of Africans through our music.
