IOL: Darren Scott faces racism complaint... Oh dear, it seems to be a case of a team-building exercise going somewhat pear-shaped.
According to Scott (@justplaintwit), on 702 and CapeTalk this morning, he was provoked and "lost it" and said something he should not have said, but he did - and apologised and says his apology was accepted (listen to the podcast).
Perhaps not. In any event he has resigned but also while being interviewed this morning on radio, said that his resignation was not only due to the racism issue, but there were other factors as well. So now you know.
This means, of course that, as Times Live puts it, Darren Scott quits as rugby cup, radio host amid racial row.
The radio station's spokeswoman, Jenny Griesel, has apparently confirmed to Beeld newspaper that a case of misconduct is being investigated against Scott.
What's that old saying... "Speak in anger and say something that you will remember with regret". Something like that, anyway.
