    2010 IPRA Golden World Awards winners announced

    JOHANNESBURG: The winners of the 2010 IPRA Golden World Awards were announced last month at Merchant Taylors' Hall in London. Winners came from 110 finalists out of 352 entries in 30 categories from 42 countries.

    In addition to the category winners, special awards were made by the United Nations to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics for the 2009 Kenya National Population and Housing Census campaign - 'Nipo Natambulika, Count me In!', as well as the grand prize for overall winner of the IPRA Golden World Awards which went to Tourism Queensland, Australia, for 'The best job in the world'.

    "The dynamics of public relations has this year again been demonstrated as a management resource to improve the performance of business as well as public institutions or NGOs in very different contexts", said jury chair JeanĀ“Pierre Beaudoin, IPRA council member for France.
