APO signs GAIN for virtual press conferencing

Virtual press conferencing allows companies, organisations, institutions and governments to host international press conferences online with journalists with internet access attending from anywhere in the world.

"Most African journalists do not have the means to pay for air tickets and hotel fees for them to participate in an international press conference. Thanks to the virtual press conference, we make it possible for journalists to participate in the press conference from anywhere in the world using a computer connected to the internet, even without high speed internet connection," says APO's secretary general, Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard.

GAIN is a Swiss foundation that mobilises public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition.
