Mediatech Africa 2009 for Joburg

The expo will cover the following sectors: broadcast, film and production; professional AV (sound, lighting, staging and rigging); DJ and professional music equipment; system integration; animation, new media and web; satellite and signal; computer music and production tools; and musical instruments.

The expo plans to attract buyers, top decision makers and influential visitors from across the spectrum. It combines current technology with live demonstrations and special events, and offers industry networking opportunities. Emphasis will be placed this year on the role these sectors can play in the successful staging of the World Cup, and the benefits thereof.

Mediatech Africa is a biennial trade fair that drew 4170 trade visitors in 2007. The event saw a total of 233 foreign visitors attending from 26 countries, with the majority apparently coming from Africa.
