Mungadze in 2006 was one of the youngest editors in Africa, managing a pool of 50 journalists across the continent for African News Dimension (AND). During his tenure at AND, the organisation won the Technology Innovation Award at Highway Africa Journalism Awards 2006.
The publisher of ITNewsAfrica, Abby Wakama, said the appointment of Mungadze was coming at a time when his organisation was entering a new exciting phase of growth.
