[Festival of Media] Icelandic volcano reroutes delegates
VALENCIA, SPAIN: The Icelandic volcanic eruption and the resulting travel restrictions have also impacted upon the 2010 Festival of Media (FOM), not just D&AD judging in London. For Festival of Media delegates, it has meant finding other ways to arrive in Valencia, Spain, and a revision of the festival agenda. [video]

The welcome reception and registration took place yesterday, Sunday, 18 April 2010 at the Palacio de Congresos while the late night festival, sponsored by Fox One Stop Shop, took place at the Ghecko Bar.
This morning saw the official start of the conference with a "volcanic reception" and welcome address from Charlie Crowe, CEO C Squared and the opening keynote delivered by Jimmy Wales, Founder, Wikipedia.
A few changes had to be made to the agenda due to alternative transport arrangements.
