Business brand for Cape Town and Western Cape unveiled

As of today, 1 April 2005, Cape Town and the Western Cape have a business brand. The role of the business brand will be to unlock and maximise the business opportunities that exist in the Western Cape and will thus assist in dispelling the perceptions that Cape Town and the Western Cape is merely a tourist destination.

The Business Brand aligns with the Tourism Brand and the greater destination brand through a shared brand personality, essence and set of destination values. This alignment is further entrenched through the incorporation of all the colours of the South African flag. The same colours are used in the Cape Town destination/tourism brand.

The name of the business brand is Cape Town and Western Cape Business. The name clearly positions itself from the destination/tourism brand. The payoff line is: 'Where Business is Beautiful' because it takes into account the scenic beauty of the region as well as the warmth of its people, the efficiency in which business transactions are conducted and the unlimited business opportunities that exist in Cape Town and the Western Cape.

Wesgro, the official Trade and Investment Promotion Agency of the Western Cape will continue to facilitate trade and investment services for Cape Town and the Western Cape.
