National Brands Limited appoints Schalk van der Merwe as Executive Director: Supply Chain

Schalk van der Merwe has been appointed as the Executive Director: Supply Chain at National Brands Limited.

Schalk joined National Brands Limited (NBL) in January 1990 as a Technical Training Manager and thereafter held positions of Assistant Factory Manager and later Operations Manager at the Westmead Biscuit Factory. He was then promoted to the positions of Business Development Manager, National Planning Director and Logistics Executive. Schalk's vast experience in both manufacturing and logistics and his B.Sc., B.Comm. and M.Log qualifications stand him in good stead for his new role at NBL.
