MS&L South Africa appoints new MD

Shoni Makhari has been appointed managing director of public relations and communications agency Manning Selvage & Lee (MS&L)-formerly Lobedu MS&L - with effect from 1 November 2006. MS&L is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leo Burnett Holdings (formerly Lobedu Communications Group).

Shoni was general Manager of Lobedu MS&L for the past 18 months. He has also held several senior positions in communications (with corporates and agencies) including associate director at Nkonki and Empowerdex, public relations manager - Nedbank Retail and senior consultant at Meropa Communications.

Shoni was a financial journalist at Business Report and a former press fellow at Wolfson College, Cambridge University - UK.
