SA online sales double off a low base

The online retail market in SA almost doubled in 2001 to R162-million, although this was only 0,086% of total retail sales, up from 0,047% in 2000. By contrast, United States online retail accounted for 1% of total sales in 2001, up from 0.9% in 2000.
