Bertha Egnos Godfrey, the producer and creator of Ipi Tombi, one of South Africa's most succesful musicals ever staged, passed away the morning of 2nd July 2003, aged 90. She is survived by daughters Gail, who co-wrote many of the songs in Ipi Tombi, and Lucille.
