Monika du Plessis, the editor of the Sunday Independent's magazine Sunday Life, has died of a heart attack, aged 51. Du Plessis, who was one of the first batch of journalists to graduate from Rhodes University in 1974, was also a former sub-editor on the Cape Argus.
