Scandal-hit South African retailer Steinhoff International said on Friday it was increasing its proposed offer to settle multiple shareholder claims by €243m ($287m) to €1,2bn ($1,4bn). The announcement sent its Johannesburg-listed shares up 12.66%, while its primary Frankfurt-listed shares jumped by 15.33%. 19 Jul 2021
