Kamoso, a Botswana-based retailer and consumer goods company, was acquired by a consortium that includes Investec Asset Management Private Equity, RMB Ventures, local partners and Kamoso's senior management team. Lewis Stores sets its sights on richer consumers with UFO deal
Lewis Stores is acquiring the United Furniture Outlets (UFO) chain for R320m, the JSE-listed furniture retailer said on Thursday morning. Pick n Pay's newly launched Store Account allows its customers the option of purchasing groceries on credit. According to the retailer, there is no charge for opening a Store Account, and customers face no transaction charges, admin fees or joining fees.
