Speakers and panelists at this month's ITNewsAfrica Innovation Dinner will focus on the theme 'Enterprise 2.0 - Unlocking Innovation through Collaboration.'
Grant Brewer, director in the IT Advisory at Ernst & Young's Advisory Services in South Africa, will chair the event. Confirmed speakers and panelists for the event are Theodore Forbath, Shiletsi Makhofane, Kanagaratnam Lambotharan, Graham Vorster and Grant Brewer.
Theodore Forbath is an international innovation specialist who has helped global business leaders to develop successful product strategies, innovative business models and successful go to market strategies. During the last ten years, he has also served on the technical and business advisory boards for a number of high tech companies, as well as serving on the technology and Communications Advisory Board for the World Economic Forum.
Shiletsi Makhofane is the head of Marketing, Strategy and Government and Industry Relations at Ericsson sub-Saharan Africa, a position he assumed in May 2010. Before his current position, Shiletsi was COO and acting CEO at Africa Online. He has over 16 years telecoms experience and has held several senior positions around the African continent.
Kanagaratnam Lambotharan was appointed chief technology officer MTN South Africa in December 2010. Before his appointment he held several senior positions within the group including CTO of MTN Irancell and head of Network Planning at MTN Uganda where he was responsible for rolling out a WIMAX network to 22 cities and the commercial launch of MTN's GPRS/EDGE network.
Graham Vorster joined HP in February 2011 as HP Networking Country Manager for South Africa. His role entails managing the overall HP Networking business across the board. Graham's ICT career spans over 20. Previously, Graham was CEO of Alcatel-Lucent SA LTD.
Grant Brewer, who is the event chair and a director in the IT Advisory at Ernst & Young's Advisory Services in South Africa. He has advised clients in Europe, the United States, Sri Lanka and South Africa over the last 14 years. He has most recently worked with the City of Johannesburg on various information security projects. He led Ernst & Young's involvement in Gauteng Online, a technology oriented program for the Department of Education.
