African music conference set for Jhb

The sixth annual Moshito Music Conference and Exhibition will be held 2 - 5 September 2009 at Museum Africa in Newtown Johannesburg, South Africa. Moshito, meaning rhythm in Sepedi, is an annual event that caters for the African music industry in the form of a conference and expo.

The conference programme aims to draw on international and national experts to tackle pressing issues facing both the global and African music industries.

Moshito 2009 also plans to feature live showcases and fringe events at Museum Africa and in the Newtown precinct.
