Inaugural Africa Fraud Conference and Exhibition

As a fitting means of seeing in the tenth anniversary since the organisation's establishment, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners SA (ACFE SA) hosts the Inaugural Africa Conference and Exhibition, taking place at the Johannesburg-based Sandton International Convention Centre (ICC) from 17-19 September 2008.

Says ACFE SA President Raj Dhanlall, “With the presence of the international ACFE president, not to mention the fact that never before has a fraud conference of this size been hosted on the African continent, we are expecting anything up to 500 delegates.”

The ACFE SA is appealing to the following individuals and organisations to register for the conference and exhibition: certified fraud examiners; anti-fraud specialists; forensic accountants, lawyers and law enforcement personnel; internal and independent auditors; government; and individuals with interest/responsibilities in fraud prevention/detection.

“Conference delegates stand to benefit enormously by attending, as the ACFE is the premium provider of training for anti-fraud professionals,” explains Clayton Thomopolous, who is the vice president of the ACFE SA, and the conference director.

“By attending the conference, delegates will benefit not least by learning from recognised leaders in the field of fraud examination while networking with professionals and obtaining practical solutions to the fraud challenges affecting us today,” he adds.

Conference delegates earn 20 hours Continuing Professional Education Credits (CPE).
