AfDB launches iPad app
TUNIS: The African Development Group (AfDB) has officially launched its iPad application of its Data Portal. The implementation of this application aims to improve data disclosure, not only within the bank, but also to external audiences, especially in Africa, where statistics systems are often unable to respond to queries on data and face shortages of resources and results.
This initiative will provide instant access to most Data Portal resources and enable potential users to generate and email their reports, explore data in tables and charts and view sector data on all African countries.
Specifically, through this application, users can access predefined reports on socio-economic indicators at the aggregate level and by country, extract desired information from the database and view data in tables and graphs.
