The report further states that the top five active African cities on Twitter in the last three months of 2013 were Johannesburg (344,215 geo-located tweets), followed by Ekurhuleni (264,172), Cairo (227,509), Durban (163,019) and Alexandria (159,534).
In East Africa, Nairobi is deemed the most active city with 123,078 geo-located tweets and in West Africa it's Accra with 78,575.
