This international competition is open to anyone currently studying product, interaction or communication design, architecture or film at a tertiary institution. Graduates having completed their studies in the last 12 months are also eligible to submit their final degree works.
Any work produced as a student project is eligible for entry; however, the piece may not be older than one year.
Two new awards will be presented at the ceremony this year - the :output Grand Prix and the Print Creativity Award. The winner of each will receive a scholarship of Euro 3000. For those projects that receive a special distinction from the jury, the Sternberg Foundation will provide up to four scholarships of Euro 500. Both awards will be presented at the International Trade Fair DRUPA held in Düsseldorf, Germany in May/June 2008.
The 2008 jury is made up of Franco Clivio (product designer), Florian Pfeffer, Hartmut Raiser (architect), Gerard Unger (type designer), and Michael Worthington (graphic designer).
The final date for submissions is Friday, 15 February 2008.
