BP Angola advises staff with PocketMedia

BP Exploration Angola recently made use of ZAMI's (Z-CARD Africa, Middle East, Turkey and India) PocketMedia to communicate with all of its internal stakeholders about the transition to its new operating model, the Operating Management System (OMS).

According to Camilo Ortet of B@CO LDA., ZAMI's representative in Angola, the round, 11-page, small booklet application, produced by ZAMI, was geared to reinforce BP Exploration Angola's commitment to its new OMS system, as well as communicate the system's guidelines to its internal stakeholders, namely staff and direct contractors.

“Whilst PocketMedia is a relatively new advertising, marketing and communications medium in Angola, it has enjoyed tremendous success elsewhere around the world,” says John Davis, MD of ZAMI.

“The term PocketMedia is used to define an effective communication or marketing application that carries a company name, brand or promotional message, and that is designed and produced in such a way that consumers are able to carry it on-person in their wallet, purse or pocket,” he adds.

BP Exploration Angola's small booklets have been distributed to its various operations sites namely its Luanda and London head offices, Sonils base, Greater Plutino FPSO, Sedco Express Rig and its offshore facilities.

“Top leadership within the company were determined to show their commitment to, and generate and reinforce awareness of, the new OMS system. Our PocketMedia application enabled the company to spread the word about the meaning and relevance of OMS, what it means to employees, where they fit in, and how their work impacts on the business,” adds Ortet.
