Clover Mama Afrika continues to improve communities

The annual Smarties Week, an initiative of Clover Mama Afrika, recently took place at the Ocean Breeze Hotel in Strand, Cape Town. The Clover's CSI project is designed to equip women across the country who assist disadvantaged people in their communities, to develop the necessary skills for their talents. The ‘smart' week, allows ladies to unite through Clover Mama Afrika and travel across South Africa to partake in value added, hands-on training courses and workshops.

The mama's were treated with a day on the beach with some traditional song before embarking on their skill workshops, which included a mosaic class by the Clover Mama Afrika team, baking classes with Siyabonga Africa, art work with Ezette van der Merwe, a flower arrangement course with Gerda Tuffin and a knitting and sewing tutorial with Rachel du Toit.

The Smarties week concluded with an awards ceremony that recognised the achievement and success of the mamas throughout 2016.
