Amongst the 8,000 doodles on offer were some masterpieces by iconic South African cartoonists and illustrators, such as ND Mazin aka Andy Mason, Conrad Botes and Zapiro all going for a bargain price of just R100 each.

After 35 doodle sessions, more than 8,000 doodles were created and donated by thousands of talented individuals from all corners of the globe. Why? To pull off the city's biggest art sale to raise funds to improve learning conditions for the children at the Thomas Wildschutt Primary School in Retreat, Cape Town. With the help of organisations such as See-Saw-Do, H.E.L.P., and GreenPop the funds raised will be used to give the school much needed support.

Doodlers and art lovers enjoyed a host of live bands, DJ's and VJ's, namely: Bateleur, Rus Nerwich, Sylvestre Kabassidi, Mr Sakitumi & the Grrrl, Fletcher, DJ Invizable, delicious food, live doodle battles and live wall painting.

This project wouldn't have been possible without the support of sponsors such as Grolsch, The Deckle Edge, Red Bull, SJ Artists, Culture Talent, Twenty Fifty, Arts & Culture Department, City of Cape Town, World Design Capital 2014, Sir Juice, Stella Organics, and more.
