'Swop to Shop' Fashion Exchanges back again

In the time-honoured tradition of swopping clothes with friends, Skip and Destiny magazine have extended this to a wider circle through the return of the successful 'Swop to Shop' fashion exchanges taking place on 26 June, 23 August, 23 October and 28 November 2013 in Johannesburg, and on 1 August and 25 September in Pretoria.

Launched in 2012, the event gives guests the opportunity to mingle and network with like-minded individuals and swop their nearly new items while being inspired and entertained.

Finding amazing garments at the Fashion Exchange is one thing, but you also need to know how to look after them. Skip ambassadors will be at the events to impart invaluable expert advice on looking after your garments.

"Fashion Exchanges are an engaging way for us to share our love for clothes with our consumers, while sharing with them the benefits that the product has to offer. We have a deep appreciation for clothes and we believe in caring for clothes, by giving them as much respect as the wearers do. The products keep one's clothes looking like new for longer, allowing one to wear them season after season," says SKIP assistant brand building manager, Jaclyn Holmes.

As is always the case with all Destiny events, special guest speakers will talk about their style and share life stories, which are sure to make an impact! Radio DJ and musician Unathi Msengana, Ndalo Media and Ndalo Luxury Ventures CEO, Khanyi Dhlomo and radio DJ, Anele Mdoda are some of the speakers billed to talk. Author, Destiny columnist and inspirational speaker, Timothy Maurice Webster will MC all the events while artists such as The Muses will keep guests entertained!

Tickets cost R180 and guests need to bring three or more high fashion, nearly new items to swop. To book, call Shaakirah Van Rensburg on +27 (0)11 300 6700 or email moc.aidemoladn@grubsnernav.harikaahs.
