    Top 20 websites ready for final round

    The final round of the 2011 South African E-Commerce Awards has produced the top 20 websites in South Africa. These awards have been designed by Jump Shopping to recognise and reward those companies and organisations that have demonstrated excellence using the Internet, with specific emphasis on e-commerce.

    Top 20

    To arrive at the top 20, the organisers evaluated design, standards and ease of use, mobile, social networking and public voting. It outsourced the design (look and feel) evaluations to an independent design company. Jump Shopping will be ordering from the top 20 websites under pseudonyms to evaluate the ordering process and customer service.

    The websites are:

    • Calora
    • Cars.co.za
    • Greenlove
    • Groupon My City Deal
    • Kalahari.com
    • kulula.com
    • Leisure Books
    • Look and Listen
    • Loot.co.za
    • NuMetro
    • Private Property
    • Prophecy.co.za
    • SafariNow.com
    • Simplicity Online
    • Takealot
    • Travel Ground
    • UbuntuDeal
    • Wicount
    • Yuppiechef

    The websites now go forward to the placement of the best in one of six categories:

    • The public's favourite e-commerce website
    • Best e-commerce store
    • Best e-commerce services website
    • Best group buying website
    • Best design, standards and ease of use
    • Best shopping process

    The award evaluations will close on 31 October and the winners will be announced on 7 November 2011.
