The redesign of the mall's brand promises to continue the same spirit of merriment. The mall's logo has also changed from “Life is Beautiful” to “We've got it”.
A feature of the revamped image is the addition of another logo: “Montecasino Cares”, which refers to the mall's adoption of the Oasis Haven of Love Foundation, a home in Randburg for children who have been infected and affected by HIV-Aids.
Designed by Jodi Kroll, the owner of Studio Jo, the logo has a youthful look that will remind visitors of the mall's corporate social initiatives.
Another good cause Montecasino is involved in is supporting the South African Guide Dogs Association for the Blind.
For the past nine years, the mall has hosted the much loved winter ball in aid of the association, which trains dogs to be trustworthy guides for blind people. An impressive R400,000 was raised at last year's ball.
This year's ball, to be held on 11 June, will also focus on increasing awareness about the declining state of the environment.
Revlon will launch two new fragrances at the ball: Almay Pure Blends for women and Moreson, a Radar men's fragrance.
Another sponsor is Purina Petcare, so bring along your puppy and treat it to a range of goodies.
Tickets cost R800 a person or R9000 for a table of 12. Guests are encouraged to wear something green.
From now until the end of July, Montecasino will be in the throes of salsa fever. Club Festival members will have the opportunity to win thousands of rands. By playing any slots and tables, members will earn points to qualify for tickets in the draws.
