Agco, BMZ to work on joint project in Africa
American agricultural equipment manufacturer Agco and German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) have expressed their intention to launch a joint agricultural project in Africa. The project will be aimed at increasing agricultural productivity and skills development, thus boosting income and employment in African rural households.
The letter of intent (LOI) was signed by Martin Richenhagen, president, chairman and CEO of Agco, and Dr Gerd Müller, federal minister for economic cooperation and development in Berlin on 18 January 2019.
