Newly named agency Matriarch offers dedicates cause related marketing division

Matriarch, formerly known as Hotstuff Marketing, has launched a new digital division, as part of its rebranding exercise and a newly formalised and dedicated cause related marketing division.

Cause related marketing or cause marketing is not a new concept and marketers and agencies based in South Africa have run numerous local and international award-winning campaigns. However, Matriarch is reportedly the first to offer it as a dedicated division to meet the growing demand and formally integrate it into all marketing campaigns that are created for its clients.

Customers who visit a brand or company's website and see its advertising want to know that there is a shared desire to make the world a better place by supporting an important cause. If a business or brand does not stand for a cause, consumers may turn to its competitors. The number of consumers who say they would switch from one brand to another if the other brand were associated with a good cause has climbed to 87%, a dramatic increase in recent years, according to a Cone Cause Evolution Survey.

Mags Shapiro is heading up the new cause related marketing division and the integrated approach for campaigns will assist clients in not only creating effective campaigns but ones that are also sincere and authentic.
