My name is Sizwe Suss Mdokwe, also known as Dj Weld Defect. I am a Youth Leader working in communities both for a youth organisation called SKA (Street Kulture Appreciation) and ACDC - Afrika Cultural and Development Centre.
I've been involved in community advocacy (for children and youth) for a while now, initiating projects such as a children and youth library in Soweto, Protea Glen with an organisation called COPESSA in 2010 and currently working on building a community skate park with the latter, and SKA. At the moment I am a full-time volunteer at the ACDC establishing Film and Cultural Clubs in and around Johannesburg in the project's third intervention/phase with the Danish Association of Film Clubs for Children and Youth (DABUF).
I am also a deejay for the SKA Groove Back. I have an ear for eclectic music, hence, my mixes range from Hip Hop, Dubstep, Neo-Soul, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Funk and Lounge.
I am inspired by the streets, history of humanity and our evolution as a people in relation to each other with an interest in development through cultural experience and expression, hence pioneering ideas in this respect.
